Ma Maison en Provence was established in 1996 by Jean Louis Comtat and partner Margaret Laurence. Jean Louis having been born in Marseille spent most of his early life in Provence. In the mid 90's he travelled all through the regions of Provence and sourced many beautiful decorative ceramics and glazed dinnerware from remote villages specialising in provencial pottery and the traditional anduze pots.
He also found a beautiful range of 100% natural bodycare products from Lothantique and Amélie et Mélanie. He filled a container and shipped all of these products back along with many other french homewares. In 1996 Margaret and Jean Louis opened their first retail shop and have been wholesaling and distributing to other retailers all over Australia and New Zealand for almost 16 years.
